Yosuke Tanaka joined the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Japan in 2010, and since then has worked on various positions within the Ministry related to the infrastructure sector, such as construction project management, technical development policy and expressways planning policy.
Most recently, he was involved in technical and financing support for expressways renewal projects to be implemented starting this year.
He also has experience in leading the coordination of Official Development Assistance projects in Myanmar, including road construction, urban development, water resource development and disaster management.
MR. NAEEM HUSSAIN
Director, Global Bridge Leader, ARUP Group
Naeem is an Arup Fellow and its Global Bridge Leader and has been based in Hong Kong since 1998. In 2012 he was awarded the UK Royal Academy of Engineering Prince Philip Medal for Exceptional Services to Engineering. In 2018 he was inducted into the Sottish Engineering Hall of Fame. In 2022 he was awarded the IStructE Gold Medal in recognition of the major and inspirational contribution, sustained over many years, he has made to bridge design, on a global scale, reflecting his background in both architecture and engineering. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences and the Royal Academy of Engineering UK. Some of the notable and award winning projects he has worked on both as a designer and project manager are: Ludgate Railway Works London, Oresund Crossing Denmark-Sweden, Channel Tunnel Rail Link UK ((High Speed 1), Hulme Arch Bridge UK, West Rail Hong Kong, Shenzhen Bridge Hong Kong, Incheon Bridge Korea, Stonecutters Bridge Hong Kong, Queensferry Crossing Scotland, Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge China, Temburong Crossing Brunei and Gerald Desmond Bridge Los Angeles. His interest is in holistic approach to design, where form, function and economics are all treated as equally important. He was the Chair of the Outstanding Structures Committee of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering, and is the Hong Kong delegate to the Permanent Committee of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering.

At present Raymond is the Vice President for Transport Industry Malaysia, focusing on the development and digitalisation of Roadway Industry, Aviation Industry, Railway Industry, Seaports Industry and Logistics Industry.
YBHG. DATUK SUHAIMI BIN SULAIMAN
Director General of Broadcasting, RTM Malaysia
Author of “I Hate Reading the Teleprompter”, Suhaimi Sulaiman is one of Malaysia’s top
media personalities. With more than 32 years of experience as producer, broadcast
journalist, anchorman, media consultant and content strategist, Suhaimi practiced a hands-on approach in leadership.
Back in 2007, Suhaimi helped set up a 24/7 television news channel, Astro AWANI, and went
on to become its Chief Executive Officer and Editor-in-Chief. His leadership helped steer
AWANI to the forefront of thought leadership with compelling content. The annual REUTERS
Institute Digital News Report 2018, in its study of the local media, found that Astro AWANI
was the most trusted Malaysian news source.
Suhaimi’s efforts in successfully transforming Astro AWANI from predominantly TV based to
online and mobile did not go unnoticed. He was awarded the MPI-PETRONAS Special Jury
Award for Leadership in Journalism by the Malaysian Press Institute in April 2019.
A multitalented storyteller, Suhaimi attended the CNN Journalism Fellowship Management
Session at CNN’s Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, USA in September 2014 and is a CNN
Journalism Fellow.
Suhaimi who started his career in journalism in 1990, anchoring various news bulletins on
TV3, is also Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s Adjunct Professor, with the School of Media &
Communication, Faculty of Social Sciences.
Currently Suhaimi is the Director General of RTM, leading more than 4,400 employees of
Radio Television Malaysia (RTM)
DR. AHMAD FAZREEN BIN HJ. BAHARUDEN
Director, Business Insight and Analytics, DataMicron Systems Sdn. Bhd.
Dr. Ahmad Fazreen has over 23 years of experience in manufacturing technology,
information technology, telecommunications, and data analytics, and has given lectures,
conferences, seminars, and workshops on business intelligence, big data analytics,
artificial intelligence, data science, digital transformation, and strategic management.
Currently he works in Datamicron Systems Sdn, Bhd. as Director of Business Insights &
Analytics and sits on industrial/academic advisory board to few public universities,
including Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Teknikal Melaka (UTeM), Universiti
Tun Hussein Onn (UTHM), and the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM).
He also a member to the Data Management Association (DAMA) as well as the International
Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). He has completed over 60 full-cycle data-intelligence
projects in both the public and private sectors so far.
MR. MITSUISHI AKIRA
Chief General Manager, International Business Development, East Nippon Expressway Co.LTD
He was responsible for everything from planning to maintenance of Japan's motorways, including project planning for the New Tomei Expressway, maintenance and management of motorways in the Tokyo metropolitan area and the spread of ETC system in Japan. He was also dispatched as a JICA expert to the Malaysian Highway Authority from 2000-2002 and to the Ministry of Construction of Myanmar from 2016-2019, where he provided policy support, etc.
After a secondment to Japan Expressway International Co., Ltd., or JEXWAY, he has been the Chief General Manager of the International Business Development Section of NEXCO East since June 2024.
MR. WILLIAM LOW

Mr. William Low is a regional leader for Autodesk Construction Solutions with many years of experience in providing technology driven solutions to the industry. He has proven experience with working in the construction industry providing strategic innovations that helps companies focus on digital prioritization.
William brings a wealth of experience to Autodesk Construction Cloud having worked at leading Technology organizations for the last 20 years including Facilities management, Home Automation Systems and Digital solution advocator of solution of VR, Field and BIM methodology.
IR. MOHD SHAHRIR AMIN BIN AHMAD
Director, Operation Monitoring Division, Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA)
He has had a long and diverse career in the field of transportation and highway management. From 1999 to 2000, he worked as an Engineer in the Central Region Office. During this time, he was responsible for the operation and maintenance of several major highways, including the North South Expressway, Cheras-Kajang Highway, Sg. Besi Highway, and Damansara-Puchong Highway. They also participated in the construction of the Kajang By Pass, Putrajaya Link, and Ampang Elevated Highway. In 2000, Simplified moved to the Eastern Region Office as a Senior Engineer to contribute to the construction of the East Coast Expressway Phase 1.
In 2022, he briefly served as the Director of Expert Service & Technical Corporation. In this position, he provided expert technical advice and liaised with technical committees and the highway industry abroad. They also managed various agreements between the Malaysian Highway Authority and other government agencies, private companies, and higher institutions.
From 2023 to the present, he has been serving as the Director of the Operation Monitoring Division. His responsibilities include monitoring the operation and maintenance of 32 highways/expressways in Malaysia and overseeing the Traffic Management Center for these highways/expressways.
SHARMILA DEVI VALAITHAM

Sharmila has 14 years of working experience in environmental consultancy in Malaysia. Her work experience include GHG Analysis, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Management Plan (EMP), Environmental Compliance Monitoring, Feasibility studies, Planning Guidelines, auditing works and site assessment in various sectors such as roads and highways, expressways, railway projects, transmission lines, township, mixed development. She is a registered EIA Consultant with DOE Malaysia specializing in water quality, a registered Environmental Auditor and a member with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia.

Currently, William is involved in the implementation of the BESRAYA, LEKAS, and NPE highways with Globalcomm Solutions Sdn Bhd, contributing his expertise to these significant infrastructure projects. He is committed to advancing the infrastructure and access control industry through digitalization and innovative solutions, continuing to be a thought leader and advocate for sustainable and smart development practices.
MR. HAIKAL ZUBIR

Haikal Zubir leads the operations units at Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd. He holds a degree in Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary, Canada in December 2000. Haikal completed International Management Programme with University of Melbourne Australia in 2014. With over 20 years of experience, Haikal has led several portfolios relating to alternative fuel, digitalization and innovation. He joined PETRONAS in March 2001 as an Automotive Engineer for PETRONAS NGV Sdn Bhd where he was involved in the introduction of CNG vehicles in Malaysia. Since then, he has held various roles in planning, marketing and project management including being appointed as a board member of the Asia Pacific Natural Gas Vehicle Association (ANGVA). In 2007, Haikal moved to PETRONAS’ marketing arm overseeing the business planning and development for the company’s retail segment. During his tenure there, he focused on developing ground-breaking solutions for new and untapped market segments which saw the introduction of portable stations, EV charging facilities and on-demand solutions for B2C and B2B customers. His current role is primarily focusing on enabling the adoption of green mobility through innovative solutions and fostering collaborations to advance towards PETRONAS’ net zero carbon emission aim.
